Book Week Continues
Posted on 21 January 2010 in Library Blog by Louise Ellis- Barrett
As the third day of Book Week comes to a close we have had a very exciting time with visits from Jeremy Strong who had the Year 2 & 3 children giggling away all morning with tales of wayward cats and lots of chocalate
Story World creators John and Caitlin Matthews ignited a story telling passion amongst Years 4 & 5 whilst Johnny O'Brien enthralled Years 6 & 7 with his First World War story. On Tuesday three times award winner Patrick Ness paid a visit along with the illustrator Karin Littlewood - keep an eye out for some very special Swan pictures in the Year 2 corridor soon.
Thursday is set to be another fun filled and packed day that we are all looking forward to, Year 6 in particular as they are off to tread the boards at the Globe Theatre but now it is time to sign off and get some more reading done after an inspiring day of meeting authors!
