World Book Day

Posted on 04 March 2010 in Library Blog by Louise Ellis- Barrett

It's World Book Day today and all children have been given their special £1 book token which they can use to either get one of the special World Book day Books or to get money off another book of their choice.

Once again the World Book Day Books are 'flip books' each containing two stories and there is a great choice.

For children aged 5+ the choice is Charlie Small Valley of the Terrors & Dinosaur Cove or Magic Ballerina: Holly and The Magic Dance & Kitten Chaos

The age 7+ flip book has Grubtown Tales: The Great Pasta Disaster or Pongwiffy and the Important Announcement

For readers aged 9+ there is a choice of Young Samurai: The Way of Fire or Born to Play

Finally readers aged 11+ have The Medusa Project: The Thief or Walking the Walls

There are some great short stories here which are a great introduction to the authors and will hopefully encourage children to begin a new and exciting reading journey so go out to the bookshop this weekend and spoil yourself!
