School Day

Children usually arrive at school between 8.00am and 8.55am with the length of the school day varying according to the age of the child. Children in First Steps attend on a minimum of two mornings and children in Rising Reception for a minimum of six sessions each week, which includes five mornings. Morning sessions run from 8.30am to 12 noon and afternoon sessions from 12 noon to 3.30pm.  Both year groups increase the number of sessions each term on a fixed basis as detailed in the table below.

Children are welcome to attend full time, if required and any additional sessions can be added as mornings or afternoons subject to availability. Children in First Steps and Rising Reception who attend for a whole day, or for an afternoon session are served lunch, which is freshly prepared and cooked on the premises using locally sourced produce.

Once the children move into Reception they attend full-time every day. They are also able to stay to take part in after school club activities, should they wish to. In addition, we provide a complimentary 'Early Bird' and ‘Late Class’ facility between 8.00 - 8.30am and 3.30 – 4.00pm, as well as Extended Day at all our Pre-Prep Schools, where for an additional charge, the children are served tea and cared for by fully qualified staff until 5.30pm (6.00pm at Pre-Prep Leatherhead and Epsom).
