Leatherhead Pre-Prep runs a variety of clubs after school each day
Downsend Sports Club
The ‘Downsend Sports Club’ for pupils in Reception to Year 2 takes place on Saturday mornings, at Downsend Main Site. Reception and Year 1 sessions will last from 9am-10am and Year 2 will take place between 10am and 11am.
Depending on the weather, these sessions will be held on the Astroturf, in the Sports Hall or on the grass pitches at Main Site. Therefore, if pupils could also bring football boots with them, it would be greatly appreciated.
As well as expert coaching, where pupils will learn new skills and enjoy small-sided matches, this will hopefully be a great opportunity for parents to socialise on the side lines whilst enjoying a hot drink, and watching their child start to develop into the future stars of Downsend School.
This is a free service to Downsend pupils that we have no doubt will be enjoyable for parents and pupils alike. The aim would be for the ‘Downsend Sport Club’ to run throughout the school year every Saturday morning, where football will be taught in the Winter terms and Cricket/Rounders in the Summer.
Pupils will be required to wear Downsend sport kit, shin pads and trainers for all these sessions.
