Leatherhead School Parents Information

This section of the website has been created to provide Ashtead Schools parents with answers to some of the most frequently asked questions that we have received. If you can`t find the answers that you are looking for please contact the school and we will forward the relevant information to you.

A.  Children can join the majority of clubs from Rising Reception. Clubs offered are: football, Yoganory, music, art, cookery Rising Stars, gardening, Spanish and Futsal.

A.  The doors open at 8.00 a.m. and registration takes place at 8.50 a.m. From September 2015, we will be open from 7.30 am for our new Breakfast Club, which will run until 8.00 am. There will be a £5 charge which will include breakfast and will consist of cereal, toast and fruit. There is no requirement to pre-book.

A.  Children in First Steps can sleep after their lunch. Mats, pillows and blankets are available to make them comfy.

A.  Parents drive into the car park and stop by the door, the same members of staff are on the door each morning to meet the children and take them to their class rooms.

A.  We do. Parents are invited to meet with our cook and discuss the individual needs of their child. A plan is then drawn up and shared with all staff.

A.  Pre-Prep children transfer without a formal assessment; their individual profiles are sent to Year 2

A.  At 4.00 p.m., after late class, children staying for Extended Day meet together, have tea in the dining room and then play, draw and have fun until their parents arrive. Extended Day can be booked in advance, have a regular booking each week or can be booked on the day, up until 2.00 p.m.
