Opportunities with Downsend

Downsend is an IAPS, co-educational, day preparatory school educating children aged 2 to 13.  It is a thriving and vibrant school which provides a refreshingly different education through a broad based curriculum leading to outstanding academic success.

We look to recruit high calibre staff committed to achieving the highest standards and have the ability to look ahead with enthusiasm and contribute to the future of Downsend.

Inspiring Young Minds’ is our ideology and is central to our approach and pervades our schools resulting in some really creative teaching and learning initiatives and enrichment opportunities for the children.

Through-School Expansion to GCSE creating new opportunities.

We announced last November that Downsend will expand its educational provision through to GCSE offering a through-school education from aged 2-16 years. With effect from September 2020 we will welcome Year 9 pupils on site for the first time and, in May 2023, our current Year 6 pupils will be the first Downsend pupils to sit GCSE’s.

This expansion creates a host of new job opportunities for the right people as we prepare Downsend for the next phase of its history.  We are a friendly and supportive team and we are looking for the right people to join us.

So if you are a great practitioner with a level of creativity and innovation to your teaching;  would relish contributing to the extra-curricular life of school; are ambitious; and are happy to challenge and be challenged in a positive way for better outcomes for the children, we want to hear from you.

Our current vacancies can be found here and we will be adding new roles all the time, so please check back on a regular basis.
