In art, they worked with Mr Gardiner, our Junior School Head of Art and DT, to create autumnal prints using clay and stamping techniques.

Global Be Well Day 2025 🌟 #GBWD2025

Today, the whole Downsend community joined @cognitaschools around the world in celebrating #GlobalBeWellDay - a special day dedicated to wellbeing, kindness, and connection.

At Little Downsend, pupils explored kindness through creativity, crafts and conservation - learning about endangered animals and even choosing one to adopt through WWF!

At Downsend Junior, children took part in a full day of activities exploring trust, kindness, and pupil voice. From team-building challenges to designing their own kindness campaigns, they truly embraced the spirit of the day. They even created clay bees playing on the Global "BEE" Well Day. 🐝

Meanwhile, our Senior pupils began their lessons by dedicating time to reflect on what kindness means, and how small acts each day can strengthen relationships and support mental wellbeing.

Together, we took time to pause, connect, and celebrate what it means to 'Be Well' as learners, friends, and global citizens.
