At Downsend, we nurture young athletes with a carefully created programme ensuring every student can proudly represent their school in competitions. Our focus on positive wellbeing, teamwork, and character development shines through our sports programs. With offerings in Football, Rugby, Cricket, Hockey, Swimming, Athletics, Gymnastics, Badminton, Basketball, Cross-Country, Biathlon, and Tennis, we provide a diverse range of opportunities. Each student enjoys a minimum of 3 hours of PE/Games weekly, as part of our enriching curriculum, students also have access to extracurricular clubs and matches. While we’re proud of our teams’ achievements across all sports, we regret that swimming data is not available through Schools Sports (SOCS) national rankings. Nonetheless, the achievements across all sports are remarkable, here are some outstanding highlights from our recent seasons.
