Ashtead Pre-Prep – Stripey Storkathon

Ashtead pupils play in forest school garden

The children arrived at school for Charity Day on Tuesday morning full of excitement and ready to take on the challenge of the Stripey Storkathon obstacle course. The ‘go faster’ stripey socks were soon put to the test as Rising Reception and First Steps attempted their course in our outdoor area. Determined faces full of concentration tackled the obstacles, with a cry to ‘Do it again!’ at the end.  Reception and Year One were raring to go in the afternoon. An ENORMOUS obstacle course was put into place at the park, so limbering up before their attempt was key. Year One set off at a fast pace balancing, tunnelling, jumping and scrambling their way to the finish line. However, like our younger children earlier they wanted to do it again and again and again and ………. Charity Day was a great success and your donations raised a brilliant £309 for our charity ‘Stripey Stork’.          THANK YOU
