Whether you are joining us from Year 11 at Downsend or from other schools, we know that Years 12 and 13 are an important time in a students' life.
As you progress through your application to Downsend Sixth, our team will support you with your subject choices and will be on hand to discuss any questions you may have.

Admissions Process
If you would like to discuss places at Downsend Sixth for September 2025 then we would be delighted to hear from you.
In the first instance, please make contact with our Admissions Team who will contact you to discuss a convenient time to meet with our Head of Sixth, Marc Broughton. Marc will be able to discuss the A Level and BTEC curriculum in detail, entry requirements and your child’s aspirations and predicted GCSE grades.

Scholarships
We are delighted to be extending our scholarship programme to those joining us in Year 12.
Downsend Sixth Dress Code
The Downsend Sixth dress code is smart casual, mirroring the approach that businesses have taken in recent years. We believe this represents a transition between school and a student’s next steps and how they navigate this choice will be important for their development.

Food and Nutrition
The D6 Café has been designed carefully to create an environment that works as a social space for connecting over coffee, or for catching up on emails whilst grabbing a granola bowl.
Healthy, tasty to-go options will be provided and will not be dissimilar to the many high street coffee shop brands students are used to enjoying in their free time.
Should they wish to go off campus for alternative options, students will be allowed to take the 5 minute walk into Leatherhead, if permission is granted by the Head of Sixth to do so.
